HikeATrail is a one-person operation. I read every message. Response time is usually 2–3 days — I’m either on a trail or running a web agency, sometimes both.

What I’m Happy to Hear About

• Trail condition updates — If conditions have changed significantly on a trail I’ve reviewed, I want to know. Especially the San Gabriels, where things shift fast after rain.
• Corrections — Got something wrong? Tell me. I’d rather be corrected than leave bad information up.
• Trail suggestions — Building the Phase 1 database and always interested in what I’m missing, especially Eastern Sierra and Santa Monicas.
• Gear questions — Specific to gear I’ve reviewed and tested.

What I Can’t Help With

• Navigation or route-finding help — use AllTrails or Gaia GPS.
• Real-time trail conditions — contact the relevant ranger district directly.
• Emergency situations — call 911 or LA County Search and Rescue.
